Amid the darkness, a mysterious box lights up and a machine comes to life. An explorer, a fisherman and a musician set off across the ocean, each driven by an uncertain quest — their destinies converging in the mysterious depths of the unknown.

Their adventures play out in the form of shadow theatre, where a luminous underbelly becomes the stage for a series of metamorphoses, reflections and moments of lucidity. Pekee-nuee-nuee is a dreamy musical performance in which each scene reveals a fragile tableau vivant, a real world in black and white whose countless colours can only be revealed through the magic of imagination.
