As subway construction progresses, digging ever-deeper tunnels, a rumor begins to spread: a thousand-year-old monster has been slumbering for a very long time in ancient swamps… Le grand Chamboultou transports you into a story born in the Courneuve region, a unique show blending puppets and masks, percussion, music, and song!

From the source to the estuary, full of surprises and wonders, this show is a journey into the secrets and mysteries of this river, an encounter with its flora and fauna, its inhabitants and spirits, and finally, its dreams.

This project, led by several companies, invites residents of the Dunkirk area to reflect on the theme of utopian cities through the art of storytelling, work involving the creation and manipulation of shadows, and the mechanics of writing.
Over the course of an evening gathering, residents shared their visions of the ideal city, their hopes, their dreams, and their stories during a walking performance showcasing the results of several weeks of workshops.
